About Us

I come from a long bloodline of hardworking, creative farming women who blessed me with a love for nature and the need to be outside. I learned the solution to many of life’s struggles could often be found after an honest day’s work. As a mother and grandmother, I now know the wisdom in that lesson. I’ve been fortunate enough to learn how to work just as hard as they did with my own hands to create works which include the colors, textures, shapes and forms to express freedom and humility.

I grew up as the daughter and granddaughter of farmers. We did everything from milking cows, planting large commercial gardens to preserving fruits and vegetables for our family’s winter. This was our way of life. You name it and it was home made

There were always homemade breads, biscuits, pastries and cakes. The sound of a sewing machine running making curtains and quilts, blouses and dresses. My fondest memory was watching my mother and grandmother concoct tinctures and remedies in the kitchen. It’s only natural and instinctive that I follow them using the same passed down knowledge.

While making goat milk cheese and yogurts one day, I noticed my hand and arms always were shiny. This led me to discover the high amounts of butter fat along with minerals and vitamins in the goat milk. This began my adventure of making homemade goat milk soaps. 13 years later I’m still making these soaps just like my grandmother did over 100 years ago!
And that’s the rest of the story.
